About Maidie:

• six years teaching experience in the University of Calgary’s Continuing Education Department, Teacher Assistant Program and six years prior experience teaching in Columbia College's Educational Assistant Program
  
• over 35 years experience in the field of education as a facilitator, teacher, librarian, media specialist and technology coordinator
  
• varied experience in a wide range of areas including a diverse group of learners comprised of elementary through university levels – face to face, teleconference and online!
  
• life-long lover of math; National Council of Teachers of Mathematics trained in the US as part of a systemic initiatives project developed to bring elementary mathematics teachers up to NCTM standards
  
• previously part of a US grant involved with obtaining advanced technology for underdeveloped schools and neighborhood centers in the southern US
